Dawn and the gang (and more roses)

On Monday and Tuesday Ed and Melanie had to work and Kieran is attending a German-immersion camp.  So Dawn (actually her sister Lesley drove) came over to pick us up in Concord.  Lesley recently moved back to California from Austin, Texas and about 2 years ago was diagnosed with Celiac, so when we went to lunch Shea had another gluten-free buddy.  Demelza came as well and we went to eat at P.F. Chang's as they have a GF menu and both Shea and Lesley have had a lot of GF pizza lately.  Afterwards we tried to find a local park/wilderness area to hike.  Unfortunately neither GPS program was able to get us there, directing us to private roads and fire access only roads. We finally decided to just stop at a local park and have some fun.  Then everyone met back at Ed's for some dinner.

Before we ate lunch Shea got to sit in and try out the controls of a Tesla - hmmm, motivation for a better paying job?

 My favorite photo of Demelza

Shea and Demelza at Barnes and Noble Bookstore.  Demelza got a Bobble Head and Shea got a 3-D puzzle.

Shea, Demelza, Dawn and Lesley posing for me.

Shea really got into the playground mode - on the glider...

 and challenging his jumping skills...

and jumping off the swing set.

Dawn got into the spirit of things.

Ed has the most amazing roses!

Too bad you can't smell them.
