Botanicals and oragami

On Tuesday Shea had the opportunity to talk to Chris' new boss about working in the game industry which is what she did before coming to Infospace.  So we looked for some things to do over in Bellevue where Chris' office is located.  We chose the Bellevue Botanical Gardens to visit while Shea was in his meeting and the Bellevue Arts Museum for afterwards since they had an origami exhibit going that Shea wanted to see too.

Coco giving Susan a hug.  Such a cute puppy (only 30ish pounds right now) She's a Golden Doodle (1 quarter golden retriever, 3/4 poodle) and very sweet.

The boys liked the suspension bridge and running around the forest pathways at the gardens.

 I enjoyed the beautiful flowers

Yogi demonstrating how small the door to the root cellar was.  The garden belonged to the Shorts who donated it to the city in 1984.

 A swarm of origami insects

A brain - so apparently you can wet origami paper in addition to folding it to get interesting textures.

The boys all working at their own origami projects

Some of the origami reminded me of basket weaving.

Chris lent me an extension ring to play with taking close up pictures.  Love the dahlias.

Shea and Ember were playing a target game with a Koosh ball and Coco wanted in on the fun

Ember happy because she hit the Koosh ball.

Shea with things in front of his face as usual.

Love cardinals so I had to add this photo ...

... and this is a pretty heart - art we saw on our evening walks
