Paris al la Shea

Currently the kids are in Paris.  For 40 euro you can get a pass to go to as many museums as you can manage during a two day period.  The pass included a tour of Notre Dame.  These are all from their first day and probably don't cover the all that they have done over the last few days.  They went to a Maritime museum, a modern art museum, an Impressionist museum, a cinema museum and the Louvre among others.  They found the gluten free bakery and Shea was happy to eat several pastries that were similar to creme puffs.  Tomorrow they are off to Disneyland Paris.

 Casey with the Eiffel Tower.

 Under the Eiffel Tower.

 Figureheads from boats.

Not sure if this is an early underwater gear or a modern art sculpture.

 Pretty

Peacock feathers are always good for photos

I'm guessing this is in the modern art museum.

Flamme de la Liberté - a replica of the top of the flame held by the Statue of Liberty.

 Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec

...and the public toilets

It was a prototype for early underwater gear, but it didn't really work out. They thought the strong design would allow them to breathe and their lungs would not get crushed but they were unable to move at all under the water pressure.
