Skellig Circle

On the advice of a fellow traveler, Dad and I drove around the Ring of Skellig and part of the Ring of Kerry as it is at the bottom of the Ring of Kerry.  Very fun despite the rain, the wind and the cars barreling at 50 MPH at you down narrow roads allegedly built for two way traffic (maybe two horses).  I highly recommend the Skelligs Chocolate Factory You can order from them online.

View from the breakfast room

These guys crossed in front of us, they were quite incensed we were in their way

The dark street of 'dirt' across the green is where peat has been harvest from the bog

Classic Irish hillside

Note at the bottom this was erected by their grandchildren from U.S.A. Lots of Shea(s) here.

It was overcast and rainy and windy most of the day - why the Irish are a tough bunch

At work in the chocolate factory

Yes - this rutted road on which traffic travels in both directions has a speed limit of 80 kilometers per hour or 50 MPH

Note the steps cut in the stone going right down into the Atlantic

The closest I'll probably get to real puffins (yes - these are fakes)
