Cork to Killorglin via Midleton

So today was a busy day.  First we had to pack up, check out of the hotel, get a cab to the airport, rent a car and figure out how to drive on the left side of the road again.  We found the Jamison distillery without a hitch (Midleton).  The tour was fun. Afterwards we had to figure out where to find the parents of one of Tommy's friends who he stayed with so we could deliver a thank you present.  We managed to get Mr Curran on the phone, but he did ask we wait until 5 to come by so he could watch the entire All Ireland Hurling final game.  It was a draw, which seemed to please him as Cork was not favored to win - next year.  The we got on the road to Killorglin which went off without a hitch except for the rain.  We ate a light dinner at a near by pub and restaurant.  Good soup and traditional Irish music in the background.  Hope to make it to bed soon.

View from the restaurant of the swan family.  If you look closely you can see the gray adolescent swan in front to the adult swan on the left.

The airport at Cork to pick up our rental car - fans of the Rebels too.

Chandelier at the Jamison distilery

The most expensive Jamison is made in Kentucky Bourbon barrels only

Our lovely red hair tour guide - looks like Joe's family

The men wore these shoes to roast the barley as they were literally walking on coals

This sign looked oddly American
The buildings looked very similar to the many we have seen at the Bourbon distilleries at home

I like this logo which is an homage to the strong men who had to carry grain and barrels on their backs.

My arty photo for the day of my complimentary shot of Jamison
