Cork Day 2

So on Thursday Dad and I wandered around the University College Cork campus until it was time for the conference to start. I can see why Tommy loved it here.  I felt like I was at Hogwarts at times.  Tommy warned us it was very bad luck to walk across the middle of the main quad.  People here told me the bad luck is you won't graduate.  Now that does not apply to me but I caved to peer pressure and resisted the temptation.

The Tom Barry beer garden that Tommy recommended.

The main quad on campus that no one walks on.

 An old observatory

The aisle at the Catholic chapel on campus.  It is a river of fish.

This building is the Aula Maxima. It has some student services and looks like Hogwarts.

This is the library, see the lack of chairs at the computers - don't want to encourage anyone to stay too long.

Room in the Aula Maxima that was a chapel but is now a meeting room.  Paintings of all the presidents.

Another peacock on the floor of the Catholic chapel.

I couldn't resist this picture of the lockers
