Today is the first day of spring break. It was in the 70s today and gorgeous. So nice to have it feel like spring as we go into spring break. Joe and Shea and I spent much of the day in the yard raking leaves, cutting limbs, digging up dead plants, making a fire ring and burning leaves. Previous owners planted lots of bulbs which are coming up everywhere. It is fun waiting to see what they will turn out to be... I planted a blueberry bush. Blueberries have become one of my favorite fruits since developing diabetes. Sweet and not too many carbs, easy to control the amount. It is great to work in a yard that I own and I started prepping the garden area. My hands smell like all the herbs that were grown there last summer. I also bought 3 kinds of roses to plant - haven't decided where to put them yet.
There are these large black birds that seem big enough to be hawks, but flock in too large a group to be birds of prey. Anyway, it will soon be a full moon.
