For our second and last trip of spring break, we went down to Cumberland Falls. Cumberland Falls - also called "The Niagara of the South" - is known for its Moonbow. This is like a rainbow, only it is seen at night when there is a full moon and a clear sky. As you might notice, we had our last snow of the season, hopefully, after several nice warm days. We braved the 35 degree weather and possibility of rain and went for a great hike. Joe came with Shea and I part of the way, then Shea and I took off on a more rigorous hike along a trail no one else had been on since the snow fall. We had quite a fun adventure and the pictures to show for it - again it was hard to pick which ones to post. Joe had a good hike too and a warm car waiting for us when we got back, just as it was starting to rain!
Wild turkey foot prints in the snow.

Joe posing by a huge burl at the bottom of a very large tree.

A much smaller falls on a side river that Shea and I hiked along.

This a little video of Cumberland Falls to give you some idea of the noise and power of the falls.
