Natural Bridge

Well, it was so hard to choose which pictures to use, I may have to do a second installment tomorrow or you could go to my flicker web site

Anyway, it was a beautiful day, so Joe and Shea and I headed up to Natural Bridge State Park. Casey and I went here during a visit to Richmond before I even interviewed for my current job, so I knew it was a great place to hike and take pictures. Natural Bridge is an arch formation similar to those to be found in Utah at Arches Monument. I was so proud of Joe for making the whole hike which included a lot of up hill hiking, hundreds of stairs and both narrow and high spaces. Shea seemed to have a great time taking photos - I guess he got a few of my genes along with all those engineering genes :) Everywhere was evidence of how many trees they lost during the ice storm, but none of those pics are in this post.

This is a suspension bridge near the parking lot.

Nature and man made vapor trails combined for this spectacular look.

Shea really getting into his photography.

The narrow spaces.

Under Natural Bridge.
