Teaching my first class
I taught my first official class at EKU today. The power point projector wouldn't communicate with the computer in the classroom. So I winged it - pretty well I think. Dad asked were I am living right now. I'm living at my friend Doris' house. She has a great house on 5 acres! I'm a little jealous but not of the lawn mowing job. Doris says she's a grass widow as it takes about 15 hours a week of Gregory's time on his ride-on mower - maybe just a little exaggeration. Besides Doris and Gregory, I am sharing the house with their daughter Celeste (who helped with the salsa) and her daughter Karma who is 2 and cute as bug, I'll try to get some pics. She looks just like Celeste at that age, big brown eyes and blond curly hair which she HATES to have washed. There's a great garden with lots of tomatoes; fresh basil, oregano, thyme, sage; carrots, bell peppers and chard. I'm enjoying the flavor of truly vine ripened tomatoes. Joe and Shea will be in town this Saturday, but will be staying at a hotel about 1/2 an hour away due to cat accommodations and full hotels in the EKU vicinity. It will be wonderful to have them near by, but I will stay with Doris until we can move into the house as I can't be in the hotel room with the cats. They are planning to play tourists while waiting for escrow to close.
