Tornadoes and Hail

So Friday we had freakish weather. You may have heard about all the tornadoes this past week. We apparently had quite a few in Kentucky as well, but I think the nearest one to Richmond was about an hour away although we were under a tornado warning for most of the evening from about 5 PM until about 9 PM. We did have some rather large hail. The cats (our 3 and we are babysitting Casey's 2) seem to take it in stride. Mostly they didn't want to be outside in the rain. We did have some significant hail - some the size of a quarter. I'm still not sure which is worse - an earthquake which is completely unpredictable or a tornado which is semi-predictable, but you spend hours worrying and then it comes to nothing.

Quarter sized hail. Notice the rings inside the hail. They bounce up and down in the atmosphere getting larger each trip up until they finally come down to earth.

Simba wasn't bothered much by the weather.
