Anglin Falls with Joe

Shea, Casey and I have hiked to Anglin Falls several times over the years of living here in Kentucky. I have long wanted Joe to experience this beautiful hike but a hip replacement and on going fatigue have stopped him. About a week ago, Joe stopped taking the statins (anti-cholesterol medication) he was prescribed 5 years ago. It recently was in the news that statins can cause fatigue and memory problems. So feeling much better, Joe headed to Anglin Falls with me yesterday. It was a beautiful morning and many spring flowers in bloom. Joe made it almost all the way to the falls. He was stopped by the large boulders and his hip, not fatigue. It was marvelous. Afterwards we had lunch at the Black Feather Cafe Boheme in Berea. Good food and even better atmosphere.
