So I have recently discovered flickr - a photo site - thanks to Chris. I joined a group called Lexington (and anywhere else in Central Kentucky) and one of the members organized a get together in Lexington. Seven of us met at a great little coffee shop and then wandered about the neighborhood for a bit. Shea came with and took pics too. Unfortunately it was about 30 degrees and snowing and we quickly gave up. Everyone else went home, but Shea decided he wanted some hot cocoa (he had to decide between white chocolate with cinnamon and white chocolate with raspberry...) and we hung out in the coffee shop for half an hour drinking our hot drinks (I had plain old Earl Grey) and taking pics in the coffee shop. The pic above is from the coffee shop. When we left it was sunny and almost pleasant. So we stopped at a park on the way out of town and took photos for another half hour or so. First Shea stepped through the ice for one wet foot, and then I slipped and fell on my butt through the ice, getting soaked to the waist - but my camera didn't get wet. So we did stay another 15 minutes or so taking more photos - it was just too pretty to resist. All in all it was a good time. Next post will be about the belly dancing!
The bike rack outside the coffee shop - thought dad would appreciate this.

The deep side of the lake...this is snow blown across the frozen lake. This view is what drew me in to take photos.
