Yesterday I cut out the dress and put together the bodice. Today I put on the sleeves, one of the harder things to do, making those sleeves fit in those tiny holes while trying to keep the gathers even. I think they turned out pretty well. I included a picture of my sewing machine which I just love. It is a Singer Featherweight flatbed, it is older than I am an never lets me down.

The sewing machine - a 1954 Singer that I think originally belonged to my grandmother. That is the story I remember, but the date places it sold the year my parents got married.
