Bonnet and Hotels

Last night I finished the bonnet for Pritam's outfit as well as her apron. Now I'll get started on the dress. Today I went with two colleagues to check out hotels for a conference we will be sponsoring in October 2013. It feels like an awesome responsibility to want to show off Kentucky to the rest of our occupational scientists - a microcosm of the U.S. Anyway, we were served champagne and given chocolate covered strawberries at the Marriott and then Doris and I had a second stop by at the Hilton where I had a Lady Godiva martini. It was a fun afternoon to be wined and dined. I also have some random other pictures here. Shea with the cats and some peppermint mud pies Shea made from a mix that Casey bought him on the way to Florida.

The fountain in the lobby at the Hilton (very Kentucky with the horses and all)

Shea with Simba - Shea looks eerily like his Uncle Ray when he frowns like that.
