Early summer project - still not finished.

Mid summer project - still not finished.

Ever since we bought this house, Joe regularly hit his head on the light fixture (bad fake chandelier) that used to hang here. Plus the lights often flickered and burned out frequently. So about 2 months ago I finally bought a replacement fixture. It sat on the dining room table. Periodically I would ask why it had not been installed. Finally Shea and Joe decided to install it - after we came back from vacation and Joe had some possibly cracked ribs. It took over two days, lots of pain and several trips to the hardware store, but they finally got it installed. Joe can stand directly under it without hitting his head and the fan is a nice addition.

The whole family working on an art project at church - finished last week.

Shea and Joe (off camera) made a twin towers box project for the cats to climb in. They love it, especially Simba (the baby). Finished last week.

Doris (far right) showing Peggy (middle) and Colleen (our boss) how to pickle watermelon rind. That is just some of Doris' canning on the shelf in the background. Finished today.

Shea put together all the puzzles he has gotten over the years this summer and then made a photo project out of them. Finished last week (well, the photos are finished, now he's deciding what to do with them).
