Joe's birthday was March 27th. He and I went to a local Indian restaurant for dinner at his request. I actually quite enjoyed my meal of chicken with cashew and raisins. Joe is excited to be 61 - only one more year until he can collect social security. Last Friday Shea was one of several students honored at the Scholars Assembly for being nominated for the Goldwater Science Scholarship. Although he did not win the scholarship, it was an honor to be nominated and he was pursuaded to wear something other than jeans and a t-shirt (the pants are part of a suit we bought for Ed's wedding and the shirt was purchased for Chris' wedding). Good thing he hasn't gotten wider, only taller, over the years.
