In August we lost our cat gray tabby, Erica. She was 12 years old and our cat Tigger's companion for all of those 12 years. We miss Erica, even though she wasn't very people friendly, and so does Tigger. He was wandering about crying for her, so we decided to get a new kitten to keep Tigger company. Max is a cuddly little guy but Tigger is definitely not happy with him. So we decided that Max needed a companion - and now we have Willow too. Willow and Max love each other and play well together and sleep together both down in the basement and on top of me. They are very people friendly and love to lay all over us.

I have a children's book titled "Ginger". It is a story about a cat named Ginger who's owner brings a kitten into the home. Ginger is not at all pleased. The kitten annoys her and gets into trouble. At the end of the story Ginger learns to appreciate the kitten in a very sweet way. The children enjoy this story about friendship.
