The weekend before last was Joe's and my 22nd wedding anniversary. On Saturday we decided to go for a hike and on Sunday we took the kids to dinner with us at Hall's On The River - a restaurant on the bank of the Kentucky River. Saturday we hiked at Martin's Fork. We were looking for Double Arches which is suppose to be on the other side of the freeway from Natural Bridge (another Arch we have hiked to) but we couldn't find the turn off. So we ended up at Martins Fork instead. Martin's Fork is apparently a popular place for rock climbing. Miguel's Pizza is a combination rock climbing equipment store and pizza parlor near by. If you go to the following link, you can see about 5 exciting minutes of people falling, but unhurt, while rock climbing at Martin's Fork...

We did have pizza at Miguel's after hiking as Casey has wanted to go there since when we climbed Natural Bridge several years ago and Miguels was closed for the season. They do make very tastey pizza. Sunday we enjoyed a nice meal at Hall's On The River. Hall's On The River is the first place I had Derby Pie. After dark, with the fireflies going, it reminds me of the beginning of the Pirates of the Carribean ride.

Notice the tree curving around to accomodate the rock!

Notice the crazy rock climbers.

Notice my crazy children returning from hiking a goat trail without me or Joe. They turned around when there was finally more trees than trail.

Notice Casey posing for Shea to take a picture of the nasty bruises and cuts she got while hiking the goat trail!
