Birthday and vaca

So on my 57th birthday (and I was born in 1957 - that makes it special, right?) I hopped on a plane with Shea and headed for Seattle to Chris and family.  We met up with Dad at the airport and Chris picked us up.  It was a whirlwind few days...On Sunday Chris took us out in his boat (Shea and I with Beck and Yogi) and we boated around for about 2 hours.  Saw many expensive water front homes, a new bridge being built, the Space Needle from the water and even had lunch docked near a pontoon plane "runway".  Very wet by the end (I sat in the front) but very happy.  As always, picking a few pictures out of the hundreds I took is hard.  Forgive the extras.

 Nice view of Mt Rainier

Can't image what this house cost

 New bridge meets old bridge

This is a boat house or a house boat - like a mobile home, they are not actually mobile, but are located directly on the water and similarly small, but no longer cheap.

 Bridge opening for larger traffic

We even convinced Shea to wear a hat.

The stadium at U of W - go Huskies

Everyone was enjoying the beautiful day including this dog!

 Space Needle

Yogi wiping his brow, a bit on the warm side

Pontoon plane landing.  They came in right over our heads as we ate.
