Update from Kentucky

The septic is now repaired and hopefully good for another 40 years.  They put in a pipe so we can have it pumped without digging up the yard again.  For some more pleasant pictures and thoughts, I took some photos this morning around the front yard of my summer flowers (an a mushroom or two).

The bottom of the photo is the opening of the actual tank and the top is two of the distribution boxes (one covered, one not) and the pipes to send the liquid out to be absorbed and filtered before it reaches the watershed/creek.

Close up on the baffle which regulates the water flow and keeps the bad stuff in the tank
