Today is the first day of two full weeks of vacation! I just revisited my Thanksgiving photos and saw this one of Dad - even an 84 year old can learn to like, well tolerated, a cat. Casey and Shea had their birthdays - we went to P F Chang's. I guess at 25 and 23 they are old enough to share the day. As usual, my department had the annual Hooding Ceremony for the Master's students who will be going out on fieldwork. It was great this year...my long time friend, Doris' daughter (Celeste) is matriculating through our program and received the faculty's award for best fieldwork student. A surprise to even Doris who apparently does not read the minutes of faculty meetings too closely. Normally Casey would not come to Hooding, but as she is friends with Celeste, she did come and took the photo of Doris, me, Celeste and Xaiden. Last night we had a Christmas get together at church and a friend took the picture of me and Sarah. I'm the one in the green vest. Then Casey and Matt were tolerant enough to pose for me.
