On New Year's Eve we went to a party at Doris' house. The theme was southern soul food and bluesy music. We watched the ball drop at midnight and followed up with fireworks. Today Dad and Casey and I went to see the movie New Year's Eve which was an eerie repeat of the actual New Year's Eve - Time Square, the announcers and the ball dropping. When we went in the theater it was cold and windy, when we came out it was snowing. This is the first real snow we have had the winter - about two months later than usual. Not too much, enough to be pretty.
Joe in his New Year regalia.
Celeste and Karma dancing.
Shea enjoying the party his way.
Dad and Doris dancing (honestly, he only had a shot of bourbon, a bit of homemade moonshine and of course some champagne. I can't speak for Doris).
Matt and Casey enjoying the fireworks.
Cats in the snow. Willow is nicely camouflaged for winter.
Snow at the mall.
The fire pit in snow.
