Full circle

A mother / daughter team - one of five.

One of the Sarah's stepping pretty.

One of my earliest blogs was about the Spoonbread Festival in Berea. Joe and Shea and I went last year and had a great time. All four of us were suppose to go this year, but Shea had a bad cold and Joe's hip was bothering him, so just Casey and I went, but we still had a good time. I am still enthralled by the stepping/clogging exhibition. They block off the street and dance for an hour - everything from individual's showing their skill to group involvement because most of the crowd knows how to do some of the dances (or at least a good fake). Imaging twenty plus pairs of clogging shoes tapping on the street - quite an impressive noise. I remember many of the dancers from last year and if you care to look back at last year's blog that's labeled Spoonbread Festival you can see them a year ago.

Another Sarah - she really gets into the gestures and body language.

Danielle is a complete card. She's almost five and quite improved in her skills since last year, but what you really notice is how she totally throws herself into the dancing and the performance. Her mom also formally joined in this year - last year her mom was dragged into dancing in her flip flops!

Here's the whole crowd joining in on a line dance of sorts.

Casey enjoying her funnel cake.

Tammy's sculpture to raise money for breast cancer. She's also posted on last year's blog.

Doris' sunflowers on their last legs.

My pretty red bell peppers, the end of the summer garden.
