September

Autumn is here I think. The air has a different, sharper, clearer feeling to it. The light so pretty in the evening as the sun sets, the temperatures cooler without being cold. I love this time of year. The promise of fall colors, the leaves just starting to turn on the trees. Summer not so far behind, but the heat and humidity mostly gone. My garden is starting to look a bit sad, but is still producing a multitude of jalapeno peppers, but not much else. One last red bell pepper. I was looking back at summer photos and wanted to include a few more here - crisp watermelon, huge sunflowers, Shea helping Casey off a rock they climbed, teen age attitude at the the Pops in the Park and little girl cloggers at the EKU Citifest. Hopefully we'll be going to the Spoonbread Festival next weekend and see more of the cloggers. The top picture is the outside decor of a defunct laundry/drycleaners in Lexington. School is in full swing and I think the new job is going well. Soon I will have pictuers of pretty fall leaves to post here.
