San Rafael, Demelza and Sidewalk art

Our second to last stop on our vacation was northern California which still has not succeeded in separating itself from southern California. We got into Concord late on Friday and did a quick visit to Ed and Melanie and Kieran (more later) and Saturday we drove over to San Rafael and spent the day with Dawn and Demelza. We met them downtown at the Italian Street Painting Festival. Demelza and her classmates completed the above square. We wandered about looking at the art in progress and also visited the Mission San Rafael church. Later we went back to the house where Dawn and I took a walk and Dad took a bike ride and Casey took a nap. On the way to dinner, we stopped by to look at the progress the artists were making on the larger squares.

Another chalk picture almost completed.
