Iris and Dogwood spring

The thing I really love about Kentucky is that the spring just goes on and on.  First crocuses and daffodils, then forsythia and tulips, now dogwood and iris.  We also have Derby Day for which I went to Kathy's horse farm/house (more photos to follow in another blog)

 My "Van Gogh" Iris

I'm not sure what this is - maybe an Anabelle, a form of Hydrangea

 My future peony

Shy foal hiding next to mom

I don't have any idea what these are except they come back every year and range from this light lilac to a deep purple

We did have a big hail storm recently (this is after most of the hail melted)  That is my friend's daughter Cora and Casey's dog Gus.  Cora is throwing hail up in the air and Gus is chasing it.

Unfortunately the azalia did not fair so well

One of my three dogwoods that bloomed for the first time in five years.  I gave it lots of TLC last autumn and it really paid off.

I will be honest with you, I don't know much about the species of flowers but I do love photography and the beauty that the world offers, and this is a great blog for sharing that, so thank you.

My best wishes to you!

Daniel
