Disneyland Part C - Night Life

After dinner as dark descended, we went to watch the Main Street Parade. Unfortunately we missed the chance to join Casey and ASL interpreters, but Pritim was totally engrossed in what we could see of the parade and had a wonderful time. Apparently Mary Poppins is a favorite and she enjoyed the "Supercalafragalisticexpialadoshus" and "Step in Time" music. Casey said we missed a great show by the sign interpreters, but she was glad she got the chance to see it. After the parade we had to go on "It's a Small World" of course, but Casey and Shea left us at the point and headed over to take a second ride on Splash Mountain and go to California Adventure (they had 2 day park hopper passes). Then Pritam convinced Grandpa and Auntie Emme to go on the tea cups with her. The big thrill though was to come with Tinker Bell flying over Fantasy Land while the fireworks went off. Great fireworks. We ended the night with the Carousel, the Dumbo ride and the Alice in Wonderland ride. Only the fact that it was after 11 PM and that Grandpa was tired and cold convinced Pritam it was time to go home!

Watching the Main Street parade.

One of the interpreters spelling "supercalafragalisticexpialadoshus" for us - impressive.

Much as I hate "It's a Small World" I did appreciate this touch of Arizona.

Pritam laughing as she tried to make the tea cups go faster. Fortunately she is only a very small almost 7 year old.

The thrill of the night - Tinker Bell.

Great fireworks.

This is the Mary Poppin's horse on the carousel. See the umbrella on the left hind quarters.

Mom and Pritam on Dumbo.
