Spring? Summer?

I think Memorial Day Weekend is the official start of summer. Casey is anticipating a busy weekend at work. For those of you who aren't friended on her Facebook, she is working at the local country club feeding the kids at the pool. This is a dream job for the summer. It pays well, she gets to be outside and drive a golf cart around and she enjoys the kids. Joe and Shea and I finished my raised garden and it was worth the effort and cost. Planting was a dream, no bending over and no fighting with the clay. Now that the garden is done, we are working on making the treehouse more accessable. Mostly my job is to get the boys started and then get out of the way. Shea has lots of extra energy these days for projects since he is "only" working and not having to do homework. We've had lots of rain leading to lots of flowers and greenery. The fireflies are starting to appear, but not in the magnificence of last year yet.

Raised garden and square foot gardening.

Pretty white flowers that come back every year.

Doris came over to discuss some church work with me and Joe made a garden luncheon. The irises are from our yard and Joe made the chocolate covered strawberries. It was delightful.

The boys working on the stairs for us old people to be able to access the tree house.

The workers drinks of choice. Me and Joe. Shea's would be juice or ginger ale.
