Time Flying

It snowed again last night and today. The above is a picture of the Dizney building where I spend my work life. Yesterday we had our Hooding Ceremony for the graduating seniors - my job was to organize and run it. Went well if I do say so myself. So . . .

The semester is over!!! I don't know where this month has gone or where this year has gone or where the last 26 years has gone. Today was Celeste Roberts' college graduation. I first met her mom - Doris Pierce - in 1984. I remember Doris running to the bathroom to throw up while we were trying to write a journal article (that did get published) about work we had done in a class at USC in our OT masters program. I remember Celeste running about, a pretty 18 month old with long blond hair who didn't want to go to bed. I especially remember Celeste as an outraged 4 year old who wanted to know why 2 year old Shea could use a knife and she was not allowed. The kids and I celebrated the Millennium with Celeste, I think she would have been around 14. This year, since moving to Kentucky, I've gotten see a lot of more of Celeste. She's really grown into a mature young woman.

And where has December gone - lost in a haze of birthdays, final exams, surgery recovery, the flu, strep throat, abcessed tooth and the Hooding ceremony...We bought our Christmas tree right after Thanksgiving and decorated it the same day. Shea, Casey and I went to a local farm and Shea cut down the tree himself and amused all the neighbors by driving home surrounded by the tree. I never did get around to posting the pictures.
I like this picture of our decorated living room which is also now my home office.

I like this one from Shea's birthday. Casey looks tired because she is. This is just days before she got sick with the flu. We also celebrated Casey's birthday a week later although she was still recovering from the flu and a strep throat. Originally Casey was going to cook, but I did it instead. She just wanted a family dinner at home so Joe could participate.

Celeste about to graduate.

This week Morgan came to visit from Phoenix. Her birthday is after Christmas, so tonight Casey and Morgan went out to Olive Garden to celebrate "their" birthday.

Congratulations on all of your many accomplishments! I trust that Joe is doing better. I love the photo of Casey with Morgan. Her hair is lovely in those ringlets.
