StickWork or Twig Art

After a few nice days here, piles of wood and twigs from all the clean up have appeared at the edge of lawns all over the neighborhood. As we did our own clean up and moved lots of the twigs and branches from the front yard to the backyard in ever increasing piles, I began to be reminded of an art exhibit that Dad and I saw at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, AZ. The artist's name is Patrick Dougherty and he calls his art stickwork.

Our neighborhood twig art

I had Shea stand at one end and Joe at the other so you could get some perspective on how large this pile of branches is. Keep in mind that Shea at the front is 5'10" and Joe is 6'3".
