Gus

Casey and Matt, as some of you may know, adopted a puppy the beginning of January.  They frequently stop at the pound to pet the puppies and just could not resist this one.  He is striking with his blue and brown eyes and has a very sweet nature.  I was not consulted as my opinion (that only people with houses and fenced yards should have dogs) is well known to Casey.  So they adopted him on a Thursday and went on vacation on Sunday - Joe volunteered to take care of Gus while they were gone (for almost a week) so you know who took care of him... me.  The cats were not thrilled, but I did get lots of exercise walking him twice a day, often with Shea along.  We also discovered the joys of the dog park and he likes to go on hikes.

Who could resist that face?

Note Simba at the top of the tree.  I have never seen him move so fast.

Simba and Luna rarely hang together, but they were united in keeping an eye on Gus

Shea getting ready to leave the dog park with a very dirty Gus - he loves the mud puddles

 and frisbees
Casey and Gus exploring at the Lexington Arboretum

Gus chasing this cute German Sheppard puppy, they are both about 4 months old.   I think Gus tripped on a pot hole

Resting on a hike.  It was a clear but cold day.

I have no clue what he thought to find in the leaves.

Making friends

The dog park in Lexington - very busy

I have gone to the dog park with my friend who lives in the city. I always feel a little dirty after leaving those places. But, the dogs do love it. I can only imagine the smell :-O
Good luck on that dog sitting.
